What is Atlasloot

AtlasLoot Enhanced is an UI mod allowing for loot tables of bosses to be browsed whenever needed within the game. It can access full item tooltips, show drop rates, allow items to be chat linked and to use the dressing room.

Integration in other mods

Atlasloot can be used as a stand-alone browser without a host mod or integrated in any map mod (works at the moment with Atlas and AlphaMap.)

Portability

Want Atlasloot Loot tables in your mod? Simply call the new function AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot().

Example: You want to see Lucifron's loot attached to you player portrait.... pFrame = {"TOPLEFT", "PlayerFrame", "BOTTOMRIGHT", 0, 0 } AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot(MCLucifron, "Lucifron", pFrame);

pFrame is an array holding how to display the loot. pFrame = { anchor point, frame to anchor to, relative anchor point, x offset, y offset }

AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot has the location of the data, text to be displayed as the boss name and the pFrame. AtlasLoot_ShowBossLoot( dataID, Boss Name, pFrame)

Latest Beta

We do not officially release beta versions for Atlasloot. But you can update the mod daily through the WoW Ace SVN. Please note that we can not guarantee a bug-free and fully functional mod if you update from Ace.

Features

  • Configuration Menu: Accessed by right-clicking the AtlasLoot minimap button or from the 'Options' button available on any AtlasLoot interface.
  • Drop Rates: Appended to the bottom of the tooltip of an item when moused over (if available).
  • Enhanced Tooltips: If you have Lootlink or ItemSync installed, you can use tooltips generated by them instead of the default tooltip. I recommend the Lootlink tooltips, they handle data not in your local cache well. If an item has (no iteminfo) after it you can only get the tooltip via Lootlink or ItemSync. Be careful with ItemSync, it is unstable on items not seen on your server (just the way ItemSync is).
  • Chat Links: Just shift-click items to link in the chat window. Two modes: Chat Links Safe Mode: Can only link items without the (no iteminfo) tag. Slight chance of disconnect if you have an item in your local cache the server has not seen for a while, but unlikely. Chat Link ALL ITEMS: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Strong chance of disconnects, especially on items your server hasn't seen yet.
  • Dressing Room: Control-click items to show them in the Dressing Room.
  • EquipCompare: Use of EC can now be controlled through the options menu.
  • Price Preview: See the prices for token items like PvP rewards.
  • DKP systems: Simply edit the file 'dkp.lua' using data from localization.en.lua (for the item ID numbers) and your guild's fixed price values to allow for DKP values to be shown in the tooltip. The stubs of some Lucifron items have been included to get you started and show you how it's done.
  • Security: AtlasLoot flags as unsafe any items it detects that may cause you to be disconnected from the server if you try to link it in the chat window. To attempt to get the item information from the server, simply right-click on it. Note: you may get disconnected if the item is not available on your server.
  • Instance Loot: All instance loot from every Dungeon (Normal and Heroic) and Raid.
  • World Raid Bosses: Highlord Kruul, Azuregos, Dragons of the Nightmare, Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker.
  • Factions: WoW Factions and Burning Crusade factions rewards.
  • PvP: World PvP Items, Battleground Items including low level items, Honor rewards - Weapons and Armor, Arena Rewards - Weapons and Armor for all seasons.
  • Sets: ZG, AQ20, AQ40, Dugeon 1, 2 and 3, Tier 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Armor sets, Pre-60 sets, Crafted Sets, Crafted Epic Weapons, Tabards, Rare Mounts, Legendary Items, World BoE Epic Weapons, Heroic Token rewards.
  • World Events: Skettis, Abyssal Council, Ethereum Prison, etc.
  • Season Events: Feast of Winter Veil, Hallow's End, Brewfest, etc.

New Feature

  • Wishlist: Alt-click on any item to add it to the wishlist, alt-clicking on an item in the wishlist deletes it. There are buttons added to the Atlas panel and the loot browser to open the wishlist.

AtlasLoot was never coded to be and is not capable of being a Lootlink type mod where advanced searching is possible. The search facility now provided is intended as an easy way to find who drops an item you see someone wearing or linked in chat. As such, there are a few limitations to its operation.

  1. The name of the item must match EXACTLY. Incomplete names will match nothing.
  2. While in English it will search all items (as they are stored that way), searches performed in non-English languages can only search 'safe' items, due to limitations of the Blizzard GetItemInfo function.
  3. When searching for an item that may appear on multiple pages (like Dragonstalker's Spaulders, for example), the search will return the page with the instance boss as opposed to a set or collection page (in this case, the Chromaggus loot table will be displayed).

To perform a search, simply type the name of the item you want to know more about in the search box on the bottom of the AtlasLoot Panel or AtlasLoot Loot Browser. If the item exists, the correct loot page should be displayed with the name of the mob as the title. If no match is found, a message will be displayed in the chat window.

Geschichte

    The Alphamap errors for me are being caused by Atlasloot when Atlas is enabled. Disabling Atlas fixes it so something might have been broken. Problem persists in latest version (v4.06.01)

  • July 21, 2008, 11:25AM (2 days, 14 hours ago)

    Okay, I'll post there from now on then!

    Just this; regarding item costs in the WishList. I didn't have this problem until I installed 4.06.01. It's been working from when it was implemented until now. Anyway, I tried removing and readding the items in question, but it didn't help. ;( Badge of Justice items seems to properly display their cost. The items I have that doesn't display their cost are Merciless Gladiator items, some Vindicator items and the Medallion of the Horde.

    Hmm, what I thought was the problem actually was not the problem. I'll do a workaround for now and release it soon, but this won't be properly fixed (to my satisfaction anyway!) until the new 'fixed from the ground up' AtlasLoot appears with Wrath of the Lich King.

    @Lombra
    I check tickets, but every single ticket I have received so far has not been a bug or a feature request, it has been something like 'the mod is not working for me'. As I can't reply directly to a ticket and help them fix their installation, have to just ditch those tickets. Bug reports and feature requests are fine for tickets though, but the very best place is still http://www.atlasloot.net

    @dimmu
    Works for me, it takes some time for the mod to get copied to all the curse mirrors.

    i think the Download link is broken.... when i click "Choose Marror..." it goes to a "Page Cannot Be Displayed"

    As of the latest version downloaded through WAU, the M'uru loottable gives a wrong description on Vicious Hawkstrider Hauberk.

    For the record, noted as plate, actually is a mail item.

    Keep up the great work.

  • July 20, 2008, 07:43PM (3 days, 6 hours ago)

    Fixed. Thanks for your input.

  • July 20, 2008, 05:45PM (3 days, 8 hours ago)

    @Lombra: This issue is fixed with 4.06.01 but it doesn't 'fix itself up'. You need to remove and readd the item to get the item costs displayed.
    Regarding the ticket system: We would rather like you to post in the comment section or in our forum. The issue with the ticket system is that people also post totally unrelated stuff in there (like general installation issues or curse questions) and that is very annoying. Our forum is even better than the comment section ;)

    Item costs (honor points etc) are not displayed under items in the Wishlist anymore. Instead the category of the item is there. (Mail, Shaman, etc)

    Edit: Btw, are you guys gonna checking tickets and stuff or should/can we just continue posting bug reports etc in the comments?

    The 'test' message only appears if the mod has not been installed properly and all the files for the loot browser cannot be read. There are three common causes for this:

    1) Your unzipping program scrambled up the directory structure of the mod. Use the windows default unzipper or make sure you unzip program has 'preserve directory structure' selected (most common issue)

    2) Something is corrupted in your WTF folder and is restricting which files WoW can read from. Rename your WTF file to something else (so that you have a backup) and let the game generate a new one. (fairly common)

    3) Another mod is interfering with AL's memory space. Try loading the game with just AL running and see if it works (uncommon)

    Downloaded latest version from here, but same as RIZLA when I open it it just shows a blue screen and above stands TEST. Can't do anything. Had no problems with the previous version. Any suggestions?

  • July 10, 2008, 06:49PM (1 week, 6 days ago)

    Same problem as KevvyMcD16.

    "Test" is written in the top of the window, just underneath the buttons.

    Using the latest version from Wowace.

    I guess this answers it:

    We do not officially release beta versions for Atlasloot. But you can update the mod daily through the WoW Ace SVN. Please note that we can not guarantee a bug-free and fully functional mod if you update from Ace.

    @Increased
    Yes. That is what I meant ;)

  • July 9, 2008, 02:59AM (2 weeks ago)

    First off... lemme say this is the most ... badass addon EVER, but I'd LOVE to have Rating Requirements (Like it says in the atlas, Need 1800 PR [Personal Rating] For this item). If that's what you meant by saying "rating req was implemented" then I disregard this comment. That's the ONLY thing this addon is missing.

    Again, AWESOME addon!!

  • July 6, 2008, 01:41PM (2 weeks, 3 days ago)

    @Robx
    Rating req was implemented today. Will be in the next version.

  • July 6, 2008, 12:03PM (2 weeks, 3 days ago)

    Oh yeah my bad Hegarol, the reputation requirements are there just the rating requirements.
    Cheers for the update :)

  • July 6, 2008, 08:00AM (2 weeks, 3 days ago)

    @faythene
    Already fixed. Vindicator added for the next version.

    @Robx
    Rating requirements are on our to-do. But we already have reputation requirements in Atlasloot. Can you give me an example where it is missing?

    @cogs
    Fixed. Appreciate your help :)
