FB Heal Box Version 1.0

What is Heal Box?

Heal Box was created by Dourd of Argent Dawn EU, primaraly for 5 man heroic instances and arena to help healers do their job a little more intuativly.

How Does Heal Box Work?

Heal Box creates a movable box style collection of frames which contain the names and health of you and your party members, to the side of these frames Heal Box creates buttons (up to 5 buttons can be defined). The buttons are used to heal the person who they belong to, for example your own frame will have your name, if you click a healing button next to your name, it will heal you, if you click a heal button next to your party members frame, it will heal them, you do not even need to target them to heal!

Which Classes Can Use Heal Box?

Every healing class is catered for in Heal Box and every healing spell available to you is usable in Heal Box, in addition to healing spells, some debuff spells are also definable.

Additional Information.

While the primary usage of Heal Box is to have the buttons attached to the custom Heal Box frame you can if you wish have the buttons attached to the standard warcraft party frames, this is often desirable as it saves real estate on your already cluttered screen.
This mode is intended only for the default frames, support for third party addons which alter your party frames is not implemented in this version.

You may also scale the Heal Box frame to be bigger or smaller as you desire.

  • I'm using the English version, and seeing the same problem as Gulkor and Daywalker - saved the FBHealBox to C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\FBHealBox, the AddOn shows during the character load as current, but when I open the options dropdown doesn't respond (or may just doesn't have a list). Seems like it would make for a great healy addon.

  • I'm having the same problem with choosing the skills (same as Gulkor). I tried manually editing the FBHealBox.lua file in the characters settings folder. It seems the only problem in using the german version of the client is choosing the skills via the settings dialog. I succeeded in manually adding and using one german shaman skill. But no icons etc..

If you could offer a settings file with all 5 skills set (no matter which class), then I could simply edit the file for the german version to make the add-on work. This would be a great thing in the meantime, because this might be exactly the addon I'm searching for... ;-)

I really like this! Thank you!

2 Suggestions or requests. It is not registering my tooltip border. It's just showing the standard blizz one (silver rounded corners like your pic.) I use the aquare, thicker style located in my interface/tooltips folder of the same name. Kind of odd.

Also, if there was some way to hook in the cooldown to show on the buttons, so I don't keep mashing them waiting for it to be ready would be really sweet!

Awesome work. I love that you created your own frames instead of bothering to try to make your buttons work with every frame mod out there. Smart! Just needs some cosmetic tweaking in the lua to match my UI and I love it.

(Oh, maybe more detailed notes in the lua file to make it easier for others to customize the frame and add own textures and border styles would be awesome!)

Will this work in a 25man + raid?

No Silent54, this is mainly to help healing in 5 man partys, if there is enough demand for a version for 10+ man raids I will consider creating a version though.
