  • About QuickCoords
  •

Shows coordinates for player, map, and party. Customizable via options dialog, and always 100% accurate.

Features of 2.2 (accessible by "/quickcoords" or right-click menu):

  • Shows your player's coordinates in a customizable frame, either clamped to your portrait or movable.
  • Shows your cursor coordinates on the World Map, also an option to copy coordinates to a secondary frame below the main coordinates frame (to eliminate having to check the map continuously).
  • Shows party coordinates in individual frames above their portraits (now an option to shows coordinates of Out-Of-Zone party members).

(see screenshots)

I've put a lot of work into this AddOn to make it as good as possible. I'll probably add features here and there in the future - but really, I made this for myself because I was tired of most coordinates mods that lacked features and stability, or those that would use more of the CPU than I felt they should.

Also, unlike any other coordinates mod I found on Curse, this one shows coordinates of Out-Of-Zone party members.

Eventually, I plan on localizing this AddOn, but it's not a priority right now. Hope this gets some use. ;)

  • This isnt working for me since the patch. The GUI is all screwed up and unreadable now and i get the Blizzard add-on error message in-game if i install it. Although the co-ords do actually work. Any suggestions?

I'll need you to be as detailed as possible, and a screenshot or two wouldn't hurt, and then I'll see what I can do.

Chances are blizzard just broke some APIs because it's a major patch, and I'll be able to fix it quickly (hopefully). If not, and it's something more significant, then I'll have to wait until I get WoW back to do anything. :(

  • ok i did a little messing around, and the add-on is fine. The GUI all being messed up is simply becuse of my Blizzard UI scale settings.. before the patch most add-ons did not configure themselves around my default UI scale and used their own settings, this seems not to be the case anymore. A simple fix would be to give quickcoords GUI a scaling option for people who need it i suppose.

As to the blizzard add-on message appearing it was down it was'nt quickcoords causing it.. my mad - sorry.

p.s. i'll post a screenshot of the QC GUI later on so you can see exactly what i mean :)

    Thanks.

Thanks to everyone using QuickCoords! I'm glad people are using it and like it.

I just did a toc update to work with WoW-3.0 (QuickCoords 2.21b). It should now work fine. However, I haven't tested it yet. When I return to WoW (which I will eventually) I will continue developing this AddOn beyond toc updates, and if you find any errors please post something here and I'll see what I can do.

    Thanks.
