Is there anyway for the tracker to show up on the Carbonite Quest Minimap? I want to eliminate the default Blizzard minimap and use only the Carbonite Quest one. However, mining nodes, repair, etc don't show up on it.

EDIT: By tracker, I do not mean quest tracker.

I'm refining my previous post. I've found the quest tracker is pretty much key to using the programs mini map, so eliminating it would leave the mod lacking a lot of it's function. Instead, finding a way to select (not filter) which quests are tracked would definantly make this 100% better. I don't like having every quest in my log on the tracker. I may just be too new to the mod, and not know all it's functions. Is there a key bind, such as the default shift clicking a quest, to select tracking of only one or two of the quests in your log?

Right click on the quests and select "Remove Watch"

(WoW version 2.4.3.8606 and Carbonite Quest version 1.28)

I'm fairly sure carbonite quest has been corrupting my game files requiring me to continually repair my installation and on one occasion even re-install the whole thing. The first corrupt file during the repairs has always been the same map file, and no other add-on I've used has any reason to interact with map files.

I would not recommend using this "add-on" without backing-up your files first. Although, if it were not for the file corruption I would definitely recommend using it. It is quite a bit more handy than QuestHelper if you take the time to learn how to use it. I in fact may take my own advice, back-up my files, and continue to use it.

Addons cannot write to files other that those specifically allowed in the WTF folder. They cannot corrupt game files.

Excellent work on the mod. Works well and I love how memory efficient it is. The only problem I have with it is, I HATE the quest tracker (shift click quest thing). I would rather use the default one. But I can't seem to disable it to anything less than a minimized bar. Is there a way to disable ONLY the visual "text" portion of the quest tracking?

Got a secend quest-row in tooltip when using thos addons:

    1. Rating Buster 1.3.8
    http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/4991/
"/rb itemlevel off" whil hide both itemlevel and secend questrow

    2. Pawn 0.9
    http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/8214/
Turning most of the "Tooltip option" whil hide the secend questrow for most questitem.

Equipable questitems still have the secendrow after disabling the above.

great work on this add-on guys..

only suggestions are.. we feel that the quest helper mab is still better and hopefully you'll have something like the atlas with atlast loot in the future..

i have a feeling eventually this will be the only addon il be needing so keep it up.. ;)

Will this mod be working for WOTLK launch or possibly in beta? It would seriously make life so much easier at launch.

Also, please change the arrow icon in the map so that it's realtime. It sucks when you move around the arrow doesn't change until you move in a straight path. Also, the quest tracker doesn't display all your quests unless there's a feature I'm missing.

Cool mod but I'm wondering if you can make a Carbonite Map Standalone?

  • July 27, 2008, 01:33AM (1 month ago)

I love this mod but i'm not too into the quest tracker, I much prefer the default WoW one. Does anyone know how to disable the carbonite quest trackder AND get the WoW one to work?

  • July 27, 2008, 02:29PM (1 month ago)

    Disable the addon...

  • July 28, 2008, 01:50PM (1 month ago)

But I like the rest of the mod... all I want to disable is the quest tracker.

  • July 28, 2008, 04:09PM (1 month ago)

Yeah, but you can't. They want you to use their thing.
